How to Deal With Negative People in Your Life

Step 1

With individual people you should try to find out the source of the negativity. Is it a particular situation, for instance you're thinking of doing something moderately risky such as staring a business or changing careers, are they reacting less positively than what you expected? In that case, they may just be concerned about you. You may need to reassure them and listen to their concerns. That doesn't mean you have to agree with everything they're saying, but it will usually stop the negative comments or attitude. Then there's the situation of people who can't seem to be happy no matter what they do or you do. They simply have a negative attitude. You can't change them--only they can do that. The best thing you can do for yourself is avoid them if possible until you're strong enough to handle them. If it's a situation where you can't, keep reading for more ideas.

Step 2

The problem is as people, we can sometimes be influenced whether we like it or not. If you have a negative job, often you can't just turn off the effects when you leave the building and go home. There is carry-over. To the extent you can, limit your negative influences and increase your positive ones. Look at the situation like you would finances--you want to be more in the positive than in the negative if you want to be successful. Positive influences can come in the form of supportive friends and family, positive books, and to a certain extent positive forms of media such as movies, television, CDs, etc.

Step 3

You do however need to look at negative influences in media as well--just because the person isn't physically in your house doesn't mean they don't influence you. If there are shows that you watch that leave you feeling worse after watching them, that is not entertainment. I've even found some commercials to be emotionally draining. You need to regulate what you put into your brain as much as possible because that's going to either enhance or lessen the effect negative people have on you.

Step 4

Realize that become more resistant to negative people is a process. You have to practice patience and keeping your own attitude up. Sometimes you'll make a mistake, but that's okay as long as you learn from it. Becoming a positive person in people's lives has it's advantages as well. You'll find that if you are less negative yourself and catch yourself when you're about to be negative, more people tend to gravitate toward you and want to be your friend. It's because there's a deep need for more people like that in our culture. I hope these tips have been helpful toward you. Good luck and best wishes to you in life.

是交流知識還是在証明自己呢…?
交流知識是互相尊重, 但是不要覺得自己利害喔~
記得讀Design 時﹐同學們進到課程都很興奮﹐過於自信!
之後發現學校很多比自己利害的, 然後自信也底了下來~
感覺教師是在教訓﹐不是教育!
而且把每一位同學教訓到好難看…好像在嘛小孩﹐哈~
第二年開始… 很多同學都想正明給教師看
原來才華不是重點﹔重要的是精神!
藝術世界的教育方式是把精神脆弱的逼到堅強
受不到批評跟壓力就等於失敗﹐因為現實世界就是這樣!
每一個人表達脆弱都不一樣…
一些愛將別人看底來提高自己, 一些不敢去表達
我該是不敢表達的一些, 不過有些人比我更糟~
只少我有對教師跟一些同學發過脾氣, 哈哈﹗
當時真的承受不到這種行為就放棄了學業
怪就怪自己當時不夠堅強, 不相信自己
之前真沒想到藝術世界也有一些為了名利的
思考了一段時間﹐然後生活上發生了好多事,,,
竟然發現這世界懂得用心的人還真少; 不是沒有心﹐是不敢用心
遇到困難想找個能用心了解的也沒有; 不但不用心﹐還把人看壞!
現代的人生活太安穩, 見識少 ﹐不懂別人的苦中就隨便批評
經歷人生少而不敢面對事﹐沒主見的就跟著大組說人壞
有意氣的人也快滅了~ 不走到盡頭都看不清楚這世界, 也不會堅強起來
生活環境不好不代表是壞人﹔生活環境太好也會沒了判定能力
於到問題只會賴別人而不去思考一下自己的行為
人不煩你﹐你不煩人﹔不要把別人拉下就是﹗
學校就是知道外面世界是這樣﹔不受批評就不會成長也不會堅強起來
體驗過了, 也是時候回去讀書了吧~~
但是我真的不想再讀 Design
Design 不能表達自己﹔還要達到客人的要求﹐ 而且要跟別人競爭
還是去讀美術~美術能夠有自己的 voice~
希望一天能為一些有 passion 不過被人拉下的人提回精神﹐找回方向!
記得以前跟一個朋友說我要去讀Design; 她的反應是,“不要裝有藝術感啦~~”
讓你懷疑自己的人是因為還沒找到自己
成功藝術人也是人一個﹔不是天生就是成功的
不要聽別人說找夢想很不實在﹐找一份能穩定的工作就算了
說這些話的都是被物質遮了眼
不是每一個人有物質就會快樂的
被比到迷網的感覺真的不好受!
要懂自己是那一種人, left or right thinker?
這樣就不會走錯方向
夢想的路是不容易走﹐不過只要堅持就有成功的一天!

美國人思想轉變﹐ 一定能改變世界對事物的要求. 用心關心人權的需要才是正確的. 世界已經被財富和權力影響. 人也被物質遮了眼. 美國找到信任就會有了自己的文化. 人權知識提高了對事跟人也會用心.
Politic 對藝術世界有很大的影響. 不要以為藝術人不需要關心 Politic. Politic 都是為了自由主義跟保守主義戰鬥的. 藝術人天生就是向自由主義方向走的.

什麼是自由主義 (Liberal)?

- favoring freedom of action, with respect to matters of personal belief or expression
- open-minded, esp. free of traditional or conventional ideas, values, etc.
- Liberal attitude toward foreigners - free from prejudice

美國黑人在音樂裡都很有影響力. 美國不用心對人權會把美國黑人孤立. 他們對生活的不滿都在音樂裡表達出來. 音樂能改變人對自己的觀點. 不懂事的年輕人都把形象排成第一﹐而不在乎實力. 人知識低﹐ 追求低﹐ 藝術本質也變低. 越來越多人為了受歡迎才接近藝術﹐而不是為了表達自己. 成功的藝術人能將自己的經歷跟感覺感動別人. 不用心的藝術人也能成名﹐那藝術就像石頭那樣﹐又硬又沒感覺了. 對人沒感情﹐表達的都是空的. 只能暫時靠形象來維持. 見過一個音樂人﹔他唱歌充滿感情﹐很有動力. 為什麼會在一個人氣少的 pub 唱歌呢? 而唱歌沒感情的會受歡迎. 現在人對藝術的追求是不是有點問題? 比如把他穿上 Versace﹐ 還 set 了幾千塊的髮形﹐看起來是不是不一樣了…? 很多紅星還沒紅時都很平凡. 紅了才覺得帥﹐ 是不是很現實呢? 如果再沒人出來改變這世界的思想﹐ 世界也會充滿了垃圾; 臭氣也把人毒死~ 人為了物質﹐會沒了個人风格. 表面看來完美﹐ 不過一點氣質都沒有. 形象能做出來﹐不過實力不能. 實質上﹐假面具能維持多久呢? 受歡迎的時間也不長久吧.

很興奮! 剛從 CNN congradulate 美國選舉結果.
這 movement 對世界一定有轉動.
加拿大比較 Liberal﹐ 而美國人之前都看不起 Liberal 的思想.
現在美國都轉去 Liberal; 哈, 對加拿大是好事~﹗
Obama 是個有動力的總統﹔美國的 power 一定能改變世界 trend.
我預測用心會成為 trend﹔不用心會 out.
Liberal 成為 trend 的話, far left 的人也會提高信心做好自己.
Britney 跟 Paris 這種…right thinker 藝人, 慢慢就不受歡迎.
該是用心人的世界了吧!

敏感是好事

為什麼外國藝術都很 expressive?
相信很多敏感的人從小都被認為脆弱
我們敏感是因我們是用心的人, 這是個好事
小時不被認同﹐長大後也沒了自信心做自己
一些找不到自己而失去了方向
一些找到藝術來表達心情
當然﹐藝術世界也有一些只為了成名
生活太平穩會失去了對藝術的尊重
成功藝術人不能說自己利害, 因為每個都有表達自己的方式
不用心﹐有才華也不代表是成功
藝術不是完美, 藝術是個人特色
太過保持形像會沒了個性
跟其它學者交流思想能增加對藝術的知識
挑戰別人只會失去了自己
所以成功是在自己的心﹐ 不是在別人的看法
失敗是因不能完全表達自己
不過…能夠接受失敗才會進步
這不只在藝術

什麼是愛?

不做好自己就不會明白什麼是愛
戀愛是一種新鮮感
感情到了一個階段一定會變淡
哪一方面做不好自己問題就會出現
怎麼完美的愛情也會變成悲劇
是不是現實上根本沒有真愛呢?
也許那種戀愛的感覺是在剛開始的時候才存在的
之後兩個人需要一起堅強的面對問題﹐要不然會有了距離
真愛的存在很不實在﹐也不長久
懂得愛自己﹐才懂得什麼是愛
不愛自己很容易會對別人動心
該是想把別人的愛護當自己的自信心吧
從新開始一段新的感情問題也會重複
最好努力做好自己﹔ 到時對被愛護的要求就會減少
有能力照顧自己﹐別人的愛護只是個 Bonus

醒來後就覺得之前做的事很無聊
生活壓力太大會帶一個人進到一條迷惘的路﹐還會變麻木
相信很多人也經過了這人生階段﹔很多也會
想找到自己根本就是想找到適合自己的生活方式跟愛做的事
不過在迷望中想法複雜﹐一直掙扎﹔
也不能肯定那個想法才是正確的
跟自己的心聲﹐堅持下去﹐一定會找到出路

When we are lost, we typically look at a map to figure out where we are and how to get to our chosen destination. This works well, assuming that there is a map of the territory in which we find ourselves, and assuming that we know our destination. However, this is not always the case. At this time in human history, we are all venturing into uncharted territory, whether we know it or not. And as individuals, we may find ourselves covering ground that our predecessors never even knew existed. When we look to them for guidance, they often come up short. Not knowing exactly where we are, we find ourselves unsure of which way to go, and eventually the uneasy feeling that we are lost presents itself.

The beauty of being lost is the same thing that makes it scary—it asks us to look within ourselves to find the way. If we have no map, we must go on instinct, relying on our inner compass to show us which way to go. This can be scary because so much seems to be riding on it. We fear we might go too far in the wrong direction, or become paralyzed and make no progress at all. And yet, this is the very challenge we need to develop our ability to trust ourselves. We are also learning to trust that the universe will support and guide us. We may believe this intellectually, but it is only through experience that it becomes knowledge of the heart. Learning to be okay with being lost and trusting that we will be guided, we begin our journey.

We can support ourselves by confirming that we don’t need to know exactly where we are going in order to take our first steps. We are learning to feel our own way, rather than following an established path, and in doing so we learn to trust ourselves. It is this trust that connects us to the universe and reminds us that no matter how lost we feel, and even as we journey, on the inner level we are already home.

What is Relationship Abuse?

Relationship abuse is a pattern of abusive and coercive behaviors used to maintain power and control over a former or current intimate partner. An abusive relationship means more than being hit by the person who claims to love or care about you. Abuse can be emotional, financial, sexual or physical and can include threats, isolation, and intimidation. Abuse tends to escalate over time. When someone uses abuse and violence against a partner, it is always part of a larger pattern to try and control her/him.
It is not your fault

If you are being abused by your partner, you may feel confused, afraid, angry and/or trapped. All of these emotions are normal responses to abuse. You may also blame yourself for what is happening. But no matter what others might say, you are never responsible for your partner's abusive actions. Dating abuse is not caused by alcohol or drugs, stress, anger management, or provocation. It is always a choice to be abusive.

The following questions ask you about your relationship. If you are not currently in a relationship, these are signs or "red flags" to assist people in identifying a potentially abusive person.

* Are you scared of disagreeing with your partner?
* Does your partner criticize you, or humiliate you in front of other people?

憂鬱症又稱抑鬱症，是一種常見的精神心理疾病，又稱為「心靈上的感冒」。患者一般主觀上感到強烈的悲傷和憂鬱，阻礙其正常生活和社會交往。

心理學上的憂鬱症不同於正常範圍內的情感脆弱或暫時的心情不好。它是一種由生理及心理精神因素所致的疾病。造成憂鬱的因素可能是一個事件，也可能有多種原因。在時間上可能維持幾個月，也可能是一輩子。病情在任何年齡階段均可出現，包括兒童。[1]

憂鬱症患者常常可能會想哭、經常大發脾氣，心情總是不好，睡不好，吃也吃不好，每天胸口悶悶的，什麼都覺得煩惱，四肢無力，記性差，不能集中精神，做事緩慢，對什麼都提不起勁，沒有信心，常常想不開，更想尋死。有些症狀會與習得無助感相關。

主要症狀

臨床上，抑鬱症的主要表現為下面幾條。如果你發覺你有其中幾項都佔了，現在不妨去看一下醫生：

1. 過分的憂傷和恐懼，及空虛。
2. 快樂程度的下降，失去以往對於生活的愉悅感和興趣。
3. 胃口和體重的下降或上升。
4. 長時間的失眠及淺睡眠。
5. 活動頻率的降低，變得焦躁不安，運動速度減緩。
6. 身體及精神上易累。
7. 經常感到罪惡、無助、沒有希望、焦躁、恐懼。
8. 自信心下降。

Many people tend to believe that being alone is the same as feeling lonely. It is not. Being alone can be a re-energising and fulfilling experience. Feeling lonely is intensely painful. We feel no-one cares about us, that no-one would notice if we're dead or alive. The worst is the feeling that we have so much love to give and no-one to give it to. This kind of loneliness is, to my mind, equivalent to being in hell.

Many people who feel lonely often blame others for not calling or visiting them, if only occasionally.

My own experience of loneliness taught me a lot about myself. I began to notice that I would never call a friend when I was going through a rough time. In fact, I never called anyone other than to arrange for us to meet for a bite and a catching up session. These get-togethers tended to happen about every 4-6 weeks.

I also started to notice a deep resistance in me when I wondered whether I might call a friend just for a chat. I would then feel overwhelmed with thoughts such as "I don't want to bore them", "they're probably too busy", "I don't want them to think I'm needy and demanding", "I'm sure they've got enough on their plate without me adding to their problems" and many other thoughts along similar lines. Next, I would think "actually, my problem isn't such a big deal and, anyway, I can handle it" and, before I knew it, I would continue to keep my friends at arm's length; I continued to isolate myself from other people and continued to make myself feel lonely without realising that I was creating the very loneliness and isolation that I so bitterly resented and blamed others for.

What was even worse was that, unintentionally, because I kept projecting an image of being strong and in control, I discouraged other people from sharing their own burdens so now we probably both felt lonely.

There are two ways out of this hell:

Start listening to your inner dialogue. What do you tell yourself that contributes to making yourself lonely? Our thoughts are driven by our beliefs and expectations. How do you expect you should be? Strong? In control? What does 'being strong' mean to you? How do you expect other people should be? Keep a journal of the things you notice - your thoughts, your feelings, your bodily sensations (for example, we tend to feel slightly sick when we feel anxious or get a headache when we feel stressed or under pressure.) Then take the next step:

Take a risk. Call a friend when you're feeling down and share with them what's going on with you. Then see what happens. Give them and yourself a chance.

有了 Passion, 就不會再害怕去表達自己

做到了自己自然會開心而滿足

要成為一個真正的 Artist 就不能在金錢方面來看

要成為一個真正的 Artist 也不能跟別人比, 只能跟自己比

做到這方面之後自己心裡就會認同自己是個 Artist...

那別人也會感覺得到

做好了自己而懂得怎麼愛自己才有能力去幫些需要幫助的人

這就是 Artist 應該做的事

得到名只是個 Bonus

表達自己才是最重要的

This is a very abstracted movie...
For anyone who loves the arts, you should
be able to deeply understand the meaning.
Watched it three times in a row! XD
I felt extremely connected from this movie so
I like to recommend others to watch it also.
